I think one of the best things that we learned about ourselves during the COVID-19 pandemic was just how much we needed to be around other people. While in the beginning it might have been nice to finally have some time to ourselves or with our direct family or loved ones with whom we shared a residence, after awhile there was a general sense of missing being around other people. We missed hearing other voices, seeing other faces, laughing with them, and sharing their presence. While we made use of Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, and other ways to connect remotely, most people agreed that these virtual connections were not the same as the “real thing.”

A wealth of research has been conducted that supports the importance of community and relationships on humans’ overall health and wellness. One of the longest of these studies actually started back in 1938 during The Great Depression. The Harvard Study of Adult Development initially followed 268 Harvard University sophomores throughout their lives, gathering information about their physical and mental health. The study grew over the years, and eventually included women. One of the consistent, and initially surprising, findings that remained constant over the years was the importance of a person’s relationships around them in determining overall health and wellness for the participants. 1 Being part of a community is a powerful thing, which is why I am so excited about the upcoming launch of my two coaching cohorts.

Success Foundations has been created specifically for new professionals and recent college graduates. This coaching community is tailored to both the professional and personal needs of those who are just starting their journey into adulthood. “Adulting is hard,” or so the saying goes, and I have created Success Foundations to make it less so. This cohort will give you the skills and knowledge you need to get a leg up on your own success and will also provide you with coaching and mentoring both from myself and established professionals.

Goal Getters is the coaching community for young professionals. If you are ready to seek out your “next,” or are in the process of figuring out what that looks like for you, this group is where you want to be. Together we will help you create the path that leads you to the success you want. You and the rest of the cohort will engage in honest self-reflection, goal-setting, and learning while at the same time receiving transformational coaching, encouragement, and at times, accountability.

Together we are stronger, and there is no better time than now to start developing a positive community that will help you get to where you want to go. Research has proven that relationships have such a powerful impact on our success and well-being, so shouldn’t we be purposeful about cultivating as many positive relationships in our lives as we can? Both Success Foundations and Goal Getters coaching cohorts have limited spaces to encourage the authentic engagement that is needed to build strong relationships, so you’ll want to sign up here before those spaces run out. As a thank you to my readers, use code THANKYOU for 20% off your registration fee. I look forward to building relationships with you.
